The Goal of Bushcraft Scouting Website is...

This website exists purely to share bushcraft skills and scouting with anyone who has an interest in the outdoors. My aim is to create a place where experienced bushcrafters and beginners alike can learn from one another. It is also a home where experts from across the bushcraft community can share their knowledge and experience. There are some incredibly talented and skilled instructors out there, and I would love to showcase their expertise.

Why Get Involved?

It's simple – to share your knowledge.

There is no charge to use this website or to contribute content. I personally fund the site because I believe bushcraft knowledge should be freely available to everyone. The project is not connected to any scouting politics, or any commercial organisation.

The content I publish is based on what I have learned from others over the years, through bushcraft events, courses, and experienced instructors who have generously shared their skills. This website continues that tradition by passing knowledge on freely.

Contributors will receive full credit for their articles, along with a link to their own website and our social media if they wish. There are no fees involved—neither you nor I are paid. This project is simply about sharing skills, inspiring others, and helping keep traditional bushcraft knowledge alive for future generations.

I am happy to replace any on my own content for the more experenced.

Derek M0SCE - The Website Owner

Derek M0SCE has over 20 years of experience in Scouting and bushcraft, with a real passion for the outdoors and helping others learn practical skills, but also is shooled in the art of websites, AI and search engine optimization (SEO), so this site will get huge coverage.

He enjoys seeing others start their own bushcraft journey and sharing the skills and knowledge that build confidence in the outdoors. Over the years, he's taught Scouts, leaders, and outdoor enthusiasts everything from shelter building and fire lighting to knife skills, navigation, campcraft, and safe use of tools.

Whether you're taking your first steps into bushcraft or looking to develop your existing skills, Derek believes there's always something new to learn and enjoy in the great outdoors. Please Visit Geocaching Scouts UK one of my other projects started 2011.
