Axe Parts – Test Your Axe Knowledge

A wooden educational activity from Scouts Bushcraft designed to help you learn and identify the main parts of an axe.

The board features an axe diagram with the key parts: Head, Back, Neck, Shoulder, Cheek, Bit, Wedge, Haft, Grip, Heel and Toe.

Each part is shown with a circular callout. Place each label where you think it belongs, then check your answers against the completed, labelled axe diagram.

A simple, hands-on way to learn axe terminology and build your bushcraft knowledge.
