With a few basic ingredients, a fire and some simple equipment, you can make everything from <\/span><strong><span>twisted bread on a stick to bannock, damper, flatbreads and campfire loaves<\/span><\/strong><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Bushcraft bread is also a great way to develop other outdoor skills, including <\/span><strong><span>fire lighting, ember management, cooking, food hygiene, teamwork and campcraft<\/span><\/strong><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>There is no single way to cook bread outdoors. Wrap it around a clean, green, non-toxic cooking stick or suitable wooden skewer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span>Cook it slowly over <\/span><strong><span>hot embers rather than large practise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span>Bannock can be cooked:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><span>On a stick<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>In a frying pan<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>On a griddle<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>In a Dutch oven<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>On a hot stone<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Wrapped around a skewer<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>In a reflector the flour and salt to a bowl.
